Andy
lives close to Franklin, which is in Pendleton County, He has children living
in Fairmont and Princeton. Andy needs a heart stress test and he wants one
of his children to be with him when it is performed. Andy will be paying
for the test himself. He wants to find:
• The lowest cost in Fairmont, Princeton or within 50 miles of Franklin;
and,
• Hospitals with surgical intensive care units in case he needs an
operation.
Andy begins by clicking on Procedure
on the CompareCareWV™ homepage. A

Andy will then see a chart for "Test Heart Stress Interpretation
only", with his chosen hospitals listed.
To find the hospitals that have surgical intensive care units, Andy clicks on the WV Hospital Services & Department tab on the CompareCareWV™ homepage. In this section, Andy can choose surgical intensive care to see where the hospitals are located on a map, or he can choose to see all WV hospitals, displayed in a grid, showing which ones have that level of care.
Now, Andy can make a more informed decision using the information provided
by CompareCareWV™.
